Coat of Arms Design
If you're interested enough in family history to have done genealogical research, or research for family names, you may be interested in a custom coat of arms. Something which proudly displays your family's heritage and legacy in one striking graphic.
Tell me the story of you and your family, and I'll create a unique coat of arms to match it.
Heraldry is a complex industry infused with multiple layers of meaning in every word and image. Professional heralds, such as those at the British College of Arms, charge up to $31,000 (£24,510) to grant an official coat of arms (2023 pricing). Since I am not a formal heraldric authority (the United States doesn't have any such organization) I can create unofficial—yet still meaningful and carefully created—arms for much less.
Any coat of arms I create will be fully custom and unique, made as a vector graphic in Adobe Illustrator. Final files will be delivered in JPG/PNG and PDF/EPS format. Vector graphics (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) can be printed at any size without losses in quality, even billboard size, unlike standard JPG/PNG graphics or Photoshop files. For an additional cost, I can help with printing your coat of arms on a variety of items; posters, mugs, shirts, or whatever else you may desire.
Here's how it works:
- DM me on Twitter (X) or Instagram about what you're looking for, or send me an email to get started. I always recommend discussing your needs before committing to any service, to ensure that it's a good match.
- I'll send over some draft ideas. We can revise the chosen draft as needed (up to three revisions are included for free) to maximize satisfaction.
- The approved draft idea will be fully illustrated and finished within a week at most.
Note: The above example images are public domain examples of existing designs that have seen historical usage up to the modern day. Actual designs will vary.
